This should bring back some memories for you non-Legs, albeit with a much more modern chute.
SGM Cameron Porter, XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg Public Affairs sergeant major, jumped the Army's new T-11 Advanced Tactical Parachute System on 18 OCT 2012 with a GoPro HD video camera mounted to his Advanced Combat Helmet onto St. Mere Eglise Drop Zone at Fort Bragg, NC.
Above ground altitude for the combat equipment jump was 1,250 feet. SGM Porter was carrying more than 120 pounds of equipment and had the GoPro Hero 2 camera mounted to his Advanced Combat Helmet using a Night Vision Goggle (NVG) bracket and the GoPro NVG mount. Music by Next September.
