Chaplain’s Corner - February 2011

All of us have received good advice in our lives. We chose to finish our education and then we decided to join the US Army and then chose Special Forces. We all have made good choices and today, our lives are the sum total of all the choices we've made up to this point. We have learned that in any given situation, we had a
continuum of choices - ranging from really rotten choices, to the mediocrity of average choices to choices that are good, and then to excellent choices. Some of those excellent choice are; the choice of our choosing our spouses; the choice of getting our ticket punched so that we could get promoted; the choice of choosing the
right actions on missions that resulted in lives saved - the list goes on. However, that most critical and excellent choice you can make in this life is to choose Jesus as your Savior and Lord, and then commit yourselves to be faithful and obedient followers of Jesus who is the only way, the truth, and the life that leads to a right
relationship with God. Jesus is the perfect liberator who frees us from the oppression of living lives separated from God. I look forward to my spiritual life with God, now and after my death. I hope you are too.
