The Freedom to Choose
God created us with the freedom to make decisions for ourselves in all areas of life. We can use our freedom to choose to have a personal relationship with God or not. When we choose to live without a relationship with God, we must create a false god of our own to determine right from wrong in our daily living. There are consequences to the decisions we make with our freedoms that determine who is the God we are choosing to be our God.
Christians choose to accept as their God the God who revealed Himself fully in Jesus of Nazareth. If we want to know the one true God, we must look to Jesus and read the New Testament to know His God, and what He offers us. To live without the God revealed in Jesus, we would be living in the sin of rejecting God, and we will, as a consequence, suffer eternal separation from God. Instead of eternal separation from God, through Jesus, God offers us a personal relationship with Him that is based solely on faith in Jesus who said he was the only way, the truth, and the life to know God.
Through Jesus, God also offers us the forgiveness for the sins we committed while we were living without a relationship with Him that was based solely on faith in Jesus. Once we confess our faith in Jesus as our personal Savior and Lord, we have an eternal relationship with God through Jesus, and we receive the promise of eternal life with God in heaven.
The God we choose to be our God will determine where we will spend eternity - without God or with God. It is your choice to make
Love you all,
