Chaplain’s Corner July 2011

I believe that a lot of patriotic Americans are either pulling their hair out by the roots, crying/sobbing silently, or beating their chests in anger over what is happening in Washington, D.C. when not paying Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and military personnel should the Congress and the President fail to resolve the financial mess created by professional politicians who put their ideology and/or their re-election before what is good for our Country.

What is there for concerned patriotic, God-loving citizens to do except to pray to God, our Creator for a fair and balanced solution and then write, call, visit their elected representatives, or send financial contributions to organizations that agree with their concerns. It is becoming evident that the print and voice news media are almost totally biased or prejudiced in support of one party to the almost total neglect of the other party. The voice and print news media are not presenting the news about financial mess in a fair and balanced manner so concerned citizens can be better informed about the financial mess.

Thank God and our Constitution that we have the right to vote immoral politicians out and replace them with honest, honorable, and moral politicians. It is my hope that when Christian citizens vote in all elections that they take Jesus with them into the voting booth and vote as Jesus would lead them in their selection of those who are worthy to be elected. It is time for concerned patriotic Americans to be greatly concerned about what kind of a United States of America they will be handing off to their children and grandchildren, and take corrective actions now.

"Onward Christian Soldiers" and may God continue to bless the United States of America.
Chaplain (LTC) John Szilvasy
