Chaplain's Corner - January 2015

Our Holy Relationship with God

God created us to live in a holy relationship with Him and with each other. Christians have this holy relationship with God, when through faith, they accept Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord. Christians believe Jesus paid the penalty for their sins by his sacrificial death on the Cross. They believe that Jesus restored their broken holy relationship with God, and that Jesus restored the promise of eternal life with God in heaven only to believers.

For Christians, their foremost relationship is with Jesus, because they believe Jesus loves them as no one else can, and He will never leave, forget, or abandon them. They believe that God, through Jesus His Son, and His Holy Spirit, loves them as they are. He, sees not only who they are, but who they can become, He is there to catch them when they fall, shares their everyday experiences, accepts their worst but helps them become their best, understands their past, believes in their future, and accepts them today just as they are. He comes in when the whole world has gone out.

Christian family and friends, having a functioning relationship God, believe they can approach God through prayer for any need, want, or desire, anywhere, and anytime for anyone or anything. They have been promised by God that He listens to their prayers made in the name of Jesus, and that their requests are granted, when the requests are in agreement with God’s Will for the person praying, and the person for whom the prayers are made. It is a great comfort to know that our Christian family, friends and all other concerned Christians, are praying with us and for us, in our time of great need for God’s intervention. I’M GLAD I HAVE GOD AS MY GOD AND I CAN TRUST HIM AT ALL TIMES.
