Asking for God’s help when in the middle of a tough situation:

We are in the middle of evil political situations all around us, and some of us are on the verge of being overwhelmed with despair. In response, I thought I would share with you what King David wrote in his Psalm 86:1-13, which is recorded in the Old Testament of the Bible.

“Hear me, Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. Guard my life, for I am faithful to you; save your servant who trusts in you. You are my God; have mercy on me, Lord, for I call to you all day long. Bring joy to your servant, Lord, for I put me trust in you.
You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you. Hear my prayer; Lord; listen to my cry for mercy. When I am in distress, I call to you because you answer me.
Among the gods there is none like you, Lord; no deeds can compare with yours. All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name. For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God.
Teach me your way, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever. For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths, from the realm of the dead.”

Chaplain's Corner - June 2016

Recently, I have felt almost overwhelmed and helpless by my worries caused by the evil events happening all over the world? When this happened in the past, I would pray and thank God for providing me with the knowledge from the Bible to cope with my worries. So I decided to share with you the knowledge God has shown me for dealing with my worries over the tomorrow’s problems of the world facing me.

God’s answer is from the Bible, the New Testament, the book of Philippians, chapter 4, verses 6,7, written by Paul the Apostle which reads as follows:

“Don’t worry about anything, instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

I sincerely hope and pray you will find this Biblical solution helpful in remaining calm, cool, and collected when facing all of your worries.

Chaplain's Corner - February 2016

  Seems like every day has its own world shattering calamities. Mass murders of every imaginable type are taking place in many places at an increasing rate. What is the cause for this sudden breakdown of moral authority in human relations? Look at how much and how fast God has been removed from our American character and American way of life. We seem to have lost our moral center that kept us in agreement with each other. I don’t know about you, but as I look at the world events and what has happened to our USA, I want to cry or get angry. I feel helpless to change the direction of events. which could make life better and more peaceful.


  Then I remember God is still in control, and His ways are beyond our comprehension. I remember God loves us and wants to have a relationship with us as we live on earth. Sadly, living in the total freedom God gave us, we disobeyed God’s laws. I remember He punished us by severing our relationship with Him. I remember that He restored our relationship by sending His Son Jesus Christ to die on the Cross as a living blood sacrifice that would pay the penalty for all of the sins of all people for all times. I remember God raised Jesus from the dead as a sign of accepting the sacrifice of Jesus’ body on the Cross. I remember that God removed the curse of death, giving people the gift of eternal life with God. I remember that this gift of eternal life is given to people who have accepted Jesus Christ as their risen Savior and Lord. And lastly, I remember by faith that this world is not my home, I am just passing through. My eternal home is with God in heaven beyond the blue. After remembering all of this I am at peace, because I can endure and persevere in all situations through Jesus Christ who gives me strength.

When I come home to Heaven…..How joyful it will be!.....For on that day at last…..My risen Lord I’ll see.…

.....No greater happiness than…..To see Him face to face…..To see the love in His eyes…..And feel His warm embrace.…

…..I’ve done nothing to deserve…..That perfect home above…..It was given freely through…..The grace of Jesus’ love.…

…..Then why should earthly cares…..Weigh down upon me so?....They’ll be a distant memory…..When home at last I go.…

Chaplains Corner - November 2013

Suggested Christmas Prayer for You:

O God our Heavenly Father, it’s me…(your name)... I am getting older and things are getting worse here on earth. Gas prices are too high, no jobs, food and heating costs too high, and my health insurance costs are out of control. I know some have taken You out of our schools, government and even Christmas.

Lord, I'm asking You to come back and bless America again with Your Holy Spirit as You did with our Founding Fathers. Raise up strong and moral leaders to lead the US Government to do what they were elected to do: Serve the people of the United States. We really need You! There are more of us who want You than those who don't! We know that You are still with us, and we trust You and yield to Your leading us through these difficult times.

Most of all, Lord, I want to thank You in this Christmas season for sending Jesus, the promised Messiah (Christ), who through faith in Him is now my personal Savior and the Lord of my life. Help me to keep Jesus as the heart and the focus of this Christian Christmas Season. Thank You for the gift my salvation and the promise of eternal life. Thank You Lord for all of your blessings given to me as gifts from You. I love You and will always love You.. In the Holy Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen

Your Chapter Chaplain’s Christmas Prayer for you is:

May the Lord in this Christmas Season bless you with a full understanding and acceptance of the meaning of Christmas. May the Lord make His presence to shine upon you and fill you with His love. May the Lord bless you with His perfect peace that will enable you to love Him with all of your heart, mind, and soul until He calls you to your eternal home in Heaven. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, Amen.
