The December Meeting was held just before the Annual Christmas Party where we had 80+ in attendance. See post of Christmas Party below.
Members in Distress. The Chapter has many members battling medical issues. We would like to remind members and their famlies to please inform the Chapter when a member is hospitalized and also when any member needs assistance.

Chapter President's Message: Welcome to 2013!!! I hope everyone had a great and SAFE holiday season. As for Trini and I, we spent Christmas with family and friends and for New Year, passed the time with good friends at VFW Post 812. Our own Tony Lara and his band did a great job with the entertainment. Between his comedy acts and great music, he had everyone laughing and dancing.
We had a great year with the golf tournament and food drive not to mention all of the other special events that we support. I do want to thank some folks for their special support; Greg Brown for chairing the golf tournament and scholarship, Chuy Zamora for his efforts every week with the PTSD program, China Boy Joe Lopez for chairing the Christmas party (the food was great by the way, good choice China Boy!) and Rod Raulston for chairing the food drive.
I also want to thank everyone who steps up to the plate to support these chairperson’s and other efforts that we sponsor. No one person can manage these events and without you we couldn’t get it done; thank you.
As mentioned above, we have the support mission for the Border Patrol SOG Expo scheduled for May and the golf tournament shortly after. Both of these are major money makers for Chapter 9 so we’ll need lots of support to make them successful events.
Lastly I want to give a SPECIAL thanks to all the wives who support us. We all know that without their support our lives would go to hell in a hand basket real quick; thank you Trini and all the other ladies in our lives. Again, welcome to 2013 and if there is anything that can be done to make our chapter the best ever please let me know.
De Oppresso Liber!
Pete Peral
President, Chapter IX
