The deserving college students were Roxanna Valdez of the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and Jarred Green of New Mexico State University in nearby Las Cruces.
Colonel Thomas E. Munsey, the Fort Bliss Garrison Commander, graciously gave his weekend time to make the awards.
