Chapter IX of the Special Forces Association lost another member, with Raul Ramos Sr. passing away last week.
Raul came on active duty 10 July 1951 and was a member of the 77th Special Forces Group from 1954 to 1956.
Raul did not leave a biography with the chapter so not too much is known of his service history. We are lucky to have a picture of Raul as a young Paratrooper - see picture below. Raul was preceded in death by his wife, Santos.
Services will be Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 2 pm - Fort Bliss National Cemetery, followed by a wake at the Benevides-Patterson Chapter of the All American Association, 2608 Fort Boulevard (near the intersection w/Alabama Avenue), El Paso, 79930.
