John Tippy - 6,000th jump

A tip of the beret from Chapter IX to John Tippy, SFA Chapter XV on the occassion of this 6,000th parachute jump. Way to go John! Send us pictures of your 12,000th!

At one time John was a member of the Golden Knights and had run the Green Beret Parachute Club where many of us enjoyed drinking beer with our friends and team mates.

  1. J Tippy. D-4130. He taught me and a couple of friends from the 196 th aviation company at Fort Bragg, in 1980, to jump after we signed up with the Green Beret sports parachute club. I was a leg but got 6 static line jumps thanks to John Tippy and the other instructors at the club.
