2012 Year in Review, from the Chapter President

Well we finished another GREAT year for SFA Chapter 9 and I’m proud to say it’s because of you all. I went through the last 12 months of newsletters and here is what I found;

We averaged 28.7 people at our meetings.
We donated $2,400.00 to the PTSD program, $200 to CW2 Cantrell family, $100 to Collins elementary school, and $100 to the Ike Camacho Head Start School.

We gave out $2000.00 for scholarships to the Jerry P. Rainey Memorial Scholarship.

We donated $100 to AUSA, $100 to Omega Psi Phi, $600 to Fiesta de las Flores, $1000 to the SOF K-9 Memorial, $1500 to the VFW for troop parties, $100 to a university in San Antonio, and just over $900 to a young SP4/E-4 who took on the responsibility of taking in her two siblings so they didn’t end up in foster care.

$1500 for the 2011 and $1500 for the 2012 Christmas food drive, $480 for the Wreaths Across America program, $600 to the Special Olympics, $200 to SATMO (you are welcome Chris!) and $400 for the Cub Scouts pinewood derby track not to mention ongoing support to the Boy Scouts.

And these are just the highlights.

Thank you all for your support of my position, our troops and the community at large. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Pete Peral, Chapter IX, Special Forces Association, The Isaac Camacho Chapter
