The annual US Army Sergeants major Academy (USASMA) Special Operations welcome party will be 16 October at the next meeting we will welcome about a dozen SOF guys. There will be a party directly after the meeting, families are welcome. There is one 18 series student, however there are 8 Night Stalkers, a few Civil Affairs, and PsyOps guy in the class.
Billy Waugh was here for the Golf Tournament and we were going to present him with his Honorary Member plaque at that time but it fell off the radar, sorry Billy, we’ll get it to you.
SFA 9 Christmas Party: 4 or 11 December – depending on USASMA and 812 availability.
15th Annual Ralph Dominguez/Jerry Montoya Food Drive: This year we may trim down the drive and just supply turkey’s. The boxes are questionable as to the value verses the effort. Pablo Sanchez has volunteered to chair this year’s food drive so we’ll be working with him on getting started. I do ask that you assist Pablo with whatever you can, be it time, money or advise so we can make this year as successful as the last 14 years.
There will be a Fort Bliss Gala Friday 5 November honoring 19 war veterans, Andy Anderson and John Szilvasy included.
