Jerry Rainey 3rd Annual Scholarship: August presentation at the meeting on the 21st. Committee includes Greg, Steve and Leo. Two worthy recipients have been selected.
John McLaughlin 5th Annual Memorial Golf Tournament: Greg Brown: Tournament scheduled at Fort Bliss at 0800 on 11 September. The after tournament meal and awards will be at VFW 812. He asked the members to continue selling ads and sign up teams – form was available at the meeting and will be mailed and emailed. Committee meets monthly at 1200 noon just before the general meeting, and weekly after the August meeting. Greg also requested that members solicit door prizes and items for the goodie bags (100 of each goodie bag item).
Teamhouse: Currently working toward building onto VFW 812.
Wreaths Across America newspaper article was passed around. Debbie Torres got good coverage for this project.
