RIP Chuck Von Kriegsfield

Charles "Chuck" Michael von Kriegsfield, 85, of El Paso, Texas passed away on June 20, 2023 after a long illness. Born and raised near Chicago, Illinois, El Paso later became his home. Chuck was a long time member of Spewcial Forces Association Chapter IX in El Paso.

After a short time at community college, Charles joined the Army in 1958, volunteered to join the Special Forces and earned the honor of becoming a Green Beret. He served with the 149th Ordnance Bn, Ft. Hood 1961;,, then the 5th Special Forces Group from February 1962 to October 1963. His service was a source of great pride for Charles and he remained connected to the Special Forces community for the rest of his life. Charles' life was marked by a passion for classic and powerful automobiles, a love of fine food, a gift for gourmet cooking and cherished social connections. He is survived by his daughters, Dayna Robyn and Adriana Noelle and five grandchildren, Kassidy, Nicholas, Rowan, Madeline and Charlie.
